What an incredible day! I cannot begin to thank everyone enough for all the weeks of hard work and toil out on the Frandsen Farm. Even though this is not a post of my own flower designs, I wanted to post this on my blog to praise all of my wonderful vendors and give you links to their websites.
I know that events and weddings are what I do, but I have always been in awe of how seamlessly an event comes together. And watching my own come to fruition was incredible. Everyone was determined to have the grounds pristine for Jonathan and I's huge day. I would not have been able to put on this event without my creatively gifted family.
My Aunt Ruth ran the entire show. Acting as my week of wedding coordinator, and making beauty out of chaos. She has this superpower... everyone is running around like mad men 15 minutes before any event and it literally looks like the world is ending. But my aunt is there giving people orders and then you turn around and everything is perfect. I'm always like, " whaa???" Don't believe me? Ask my husband (he is now a believer).
My Aunt Gail owns Designs By Gail in Morgan Hill and was the master behind the flowers at our wedding. Oh! My! Goodness! Do you see that color??? My heart jumps when I see the pictures of my flowers. The flowers were wisping with agnois foliage and composed with the most vibrant pink, orange and red roses. There were also red dahlias, purple calla lilies, antiqued hydrangea and the most lovely blushing-bride protea (my favorite).
When it came to a wedding favor, I wanted something our friends and family would not forget to take with them at the end of the night. I decided on different flavored jams set at each place setting and my friend Megan Carpentier made the most delicious, so of course I asked her (Go to the farmers market if you want to get some more!).
And the cake... Amazing! A beautiful naked spice cake layered with the creamiest cream cheese frosting. And if you are not already drooling all over yourself, it was drizzled with caramel. Sorry everyone, the creator of that piece of heaven is not local to Redding. Sad. But lucky for me it is another of my wonderful aunts.
I have heard couples tell horror stories of watching incredible food passing them on their wedding day and not getting a bite. Then having to swing into in-n-out before heading to the honeymoon suite. Thankfully I had heard enough of those stories to be like... I'm eating first. I had to eat the food. It was from Kathy's Deli. We were serving tri-tip, chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, and kale slaw. And probably about fifteen other sides i'm forgetting. If you have not heard of Kent's Market, you have not experienced Redding. Go to Kent's, visit the deli selection and get a tri-tip sandwich or a sausage breakfast sandwich. Your life will never be the same.
Hair and makeup was of course my girls over at De Ja' Vu Salon. Bailee has inspired me for a couple years now and was my first choice from the first moment she touched my hair. The team at the salon is the most loving and joyful group of women I've ever met. Cannot say enough wonderful things about them.
I have in this post our wedding video by JD Hudson. It is so beautiful! I love the song that he chose and how the footage captures the beauty of the day so perfectly.
The photos that you see are by Amy Jensen Photography and they speak for themselves! I am so thrilled with how vibrant they are. As you may know by my Instagram feed I love color and Amy's photos capture that so well! Love!
I am going to wrap up this post because it is already longer than anything I ever do. I will say that if you need rentals, check out Rustic charm rentals. They have a gorgeous selection of furnishings. Our DJ was Netsound who always brings the best party. They also provided our photo booth camera. And everyone always has a blast. Wine was provided by my favorite Moseley Family Cellars. Yumm. Lighting was done by H&H Lighting who do phenomenal work. Botts Creative helped create my beautiful invitations. Tuxedo Den is to blame for how fabulous all Jonathan's guys look. And My dress was purchased at Simply Elegant Bridal.
If you are interested in finding these vendors check them out, their links are provided below. I have JD's video for you to watch and lots of bright pictures for you to enjoy. Love you all!
