In my last blog post I mentioned how Marianna Chambard Photography contacted me about participating in her styled shoot and I was more than happy to do so! We met and decided on a soft light colored bridal look. She had also already lined up some other wonderful vendors to join us. You can find Marianna on Instagram here.

Angeli over at Dream Platinum Salon in Redding CA was our fabulous makeup artist. She did a wonderful job and our model looked absolutely flawless! Our hair artist was Craig, also from Dream Platinum Salon in Redding CA, who made our models hair look enchanting! Visit Angeli's Instagram here and you can check out Craig's Instagram here.

We also got to use earrings from Courtney Gray at Grayc Glass. She provided earrings in different colors and shapes. These were a beautiful addition to our styled shoot. If you have not seen what she is creating be sure to click over and check them out. Find her on Instagram here.

Our Styled Photo shoot took place in perfect Lassen volcanic national park. The day could not have been more beautiful for a bridal shoot. And the drive from Redding CA is not bad, being only 50 minutes away.

The brides bouquet is made with blush pink spray roses, light pink stock, white alstroemeria, pink variegated mini carnations and dark red mini carnations. So happy with how the colors and dress flowed together and made such a fierce vintage look. So beautiful!

We also got to use earrings from Grayc Glass in different colors and shapes. These were a beautiful addition to our styled shoot. Courtney Gray creates beautiful handmade jewelry. The brides bouquet is made with Yellow roses, pink spray roses, white alstroemeria, and yellow solidago. The flower crown was constructed on a thick gauged paper covered wire, with a base of moss. So happy with how the colors flowed together and made such a soft sweet look.

The first week of September arrived with all the wonderful and beautiful symbolism's of the season. Beautiful cool weather. You can see the beginning subtleties of leaves turning color. I see girls running to Starbucks to get pumpkin spiced lattes. All inspiring things, but no events scheduled for me.

So of course I was itching for something creative to put my hands to and called up my friend Holly Kiker Photography. I asked if she wanted to spend her Friday afternoon taking pictures of pretty things and she of course jumped on board. Then I went and saw Tammy over Rustic Charm Rentals about showing off some of her pieces. I love sharing creative moments with others. Especially others who's talents and creativity are different from your own.

I believe, and highly recommend, that the best way to spend a Friday is doing something you love. I simply love to create and my life happens to revolve around creating in the world of flowers. So Friday's (and a lot of other days of the week) look very beautiful... in a messy, creative person kind of way.

Buckets of greenery and flowers. Leaves and trimmings strewn over the floor and counter top. Tape and ribbon unravled. I run out the door with my creations for a fun time with the girls, leaving a glorious mess behind me.

I don't mind the mess when I get home till the next morning and smile as I go to bed, satisfied with a day well spent.

Fall Themed Wedding Style Shoot

Fall wedding flowers are absolutely a dream. I love the intensity of the colors and the array of textures you can add in. When I feel the fall season begin to turn into a beautiful cool wonderland my mind begins to plan and scheme. I start to dream of autumn colored roses in wedding bouquets, wedding centerpieces and elaborate floral crowns.

It got to about 4pm on Tuesday and I was feeling desperate for something creative to do. So of course I wanted to do the most outrageous and elaborate thing I could possibly choose… a fall themed style shoot. So I texted Holly and asked if she was up for it. Which of course she said yes. And it was go time. I texted a few people about being a model, but of course everyone had things already going on. So once again, I am the model for the sake of needing creativity in my life. I went and found my wedding gown from almost a year ago now (what?) and squeezed in. I went and picked out fall wedding flowers and started throwing together the intense vibrant look that you see here today.

We headed out to Clover Creek Preserve in Redding CA and carried all of our props out to be near the pond. Everyone we passed smiled and were positive that our efforts would turn out wonderfully. There was even a hilarious moment that a bicyclist on the trail turned around to take a picture on his little tiny flip phone.

I am completely thrilled with how the shoot came together with a certain vintage vibe and I couldn’t be happier with the vibrant background of our location. The fall wedding flowers filled my heart with so much joy that now, a few days later, I'm still smiling.I am so excited for fall wedding flowers coming up this Autumn season and am looking forward to blessing my all of my beautiful brides.
