Bohemian Summer Vibe Styled Shoot | April 24, 2018

This design was something out of a dream! I am so happy with how it turned out. The contrast between the soft muted tones, delicate flowers and the sharp, structured weight of the cacti was everything I imagined it would be. 

This look would be the perfect summer or spring wedding. It adds just enough wow factor to a beautiful and dainty design. Marianna Chambard Photography did a fabulous job with the photos and I would highly recommend her to anyone out looking for a photographer!

This May I held my very first floral design workshop and I had a wonderful time doing it. There is nothing I love more than seeing individuals inspired to create and learn.

I have always loved going above and beyond when it comes to a party (if i can afford it.) And when the above and beyond has the potential to make someone feel special, it is even better. I created a lovely Hors d'oevres bar set up. With different meats and cheeses, salads, fruit and featured some Moseley Family Cellars Wine.

I set up a display table for each attendee to set their arrangement on. That way everyone could see how much their arrangements add when throwing a party or an event. Shout out to Rustic Charm Rentals for lending me the beautiful Safari Chairs.

The arrangement lesson I went with was a very basic design called the Horizontal Arrangement. It was really fun to see everyone understand and execute the instructions I had drawn out for them. Be sure to watch the video below if you are interested in creating this look.

Step by step instructions

Horizontal Arrangement 

Step 1: Create Your Horizon - a long structural branch or flower on opposite ends of the arrangement.

Step 2: Add Your Skeleton - forming the overall shape, don't add so much that you no longer have room for flowers

Step 3: Add Your Focal Flowers - Larger flowers that capture the attention and stand out by themselves.

Step 4: Add Fillers - light airy flowers that take up a bit of space without adding weight to the arrangement. This is a moment that you can add some textures.

Sacramento River Wedding | Velours Designs

Micheal and Jenn's stunning wedding took place alongside the Sacramento River. Mid June days in Redding CA can reach upward of 110 fahrenheit, so being right on the river was the best place to be.  We decorated the beautifully placed arch very abundantly with white, blush and purple flowers. The result was breath taking! I think the flower that made this arch was the delicate, green, hanging amoranthus.

Matthew Lim Photography did an outstanding job in photographing this gorgeous day (check out his site HERE) I wish I had been more on top of the vendor list, but alas... I was not and cannot remember for the life of me who was involved. So if you were there as a vendor, shoot me an email and let me know so I can link your business.

Ty and Lyndsay Hoag were married last September at The Rustic Rose in Red Bluff California.

This beautifully curated wedding was flawlessly arranged by Karissa Doty of Beautiful Beginnings by Karissa. 

And the incredible images that we get to enjoy were taken by Holly Kiker Photography. I highly recommend Holly to anyone looking for a photographer for their wedding. 

My favorite thing about Ty and Lyndsay was that after their wedding they went to our local memorial cemetery and placed their wedding flowers at as many headstones as they would cover. This year around Memorial Day, Lyndsay, and Ty reached out and wanted to encourage all couples who got married over the Memorial Day Weekend to take their wedding flowers to their local memorial cemetery instead of throwing them out. 
I love the idea and am so happy they reminded me! I was able to remind couples on my social media of the blessing they can be to the families who have lost loved ones!
