November Wedding Bouquet | Velours Designs

I absolutely love fall! My Birthday is in the fall! My wedding anniversary is in the fall! The most beautiful colors are produced in the fall! It is the best!

I decided to play the other day with some fall colored flowers I ordered for fun! Playing and having fun is important when you’ve made your hobby your work. Otherwise the once loved art becomes tainted because suddenly your creative outlet is required and controlled by others. So I have begun to schedule in dates for just me being creative! One of which was creating this November themed wedding bouquet.

One of the things I’ve done to give me a separate outlet from my work is a YouTube Channel. I decided I needed something to do other than flower arranging. This platform not only inspires me to create other crafty and artsy fartsy things, but it is also expanding my creativity through editing video. You can watch the video I created for this fall floral arrangement down below. I love the bright colors of the autumn blaze red maple leaves. And the single white dahlia adds a boldness to the arrangement that I adore! The beautiful blooms where provided by Farmhouse Flowers in Cottonwood Ca and they were perfect.

Día de Muertos Wedding | Velours Designs

Talk about the funnest wedding I have ever designed! I am a huge color girl and was star struck the whole process because everything was so incredibly vibrant! I love themed weddings because I am faced with an incredible problem to solve which is... it could be disastrously corny. I don't do corny. I must manipulate the colors and textures to transform a theme into a beautiful and complete story. 

The bright bold colors came together flawlessly. Two of my favorite flowers that I believe  made this look was the beautiful, small, round and yellow flowers called Craspedia and the whimsical, purple (almost blue) Veronica. 

Though we had to celebrate before the actual holiday, every detail at this wedding was perfectly executed. The favors were actual molded sugar skulls. There was a cigar bar. We set up a memorial table with photos of loved ones gone ahead. There was no detail untouched!
